Faes Farma increases its revenue by 27% and posts a net profit of 57 million in the first half of the year, reaffirming its guidance for 2026

July 30th, 2026
  • The Group’s total revenue stands at 391.5 million euros (+27%), with the Farma division reaching 340 million euros (+28%), driven by international growth and the consolidation of the ophthalmology business.
  • EBITDA reached 90.8 million euros (+24%) and net profit grew by 9 per cent, thanks to the strength of the business, the integration of acquisitions made in 2025 and the efficient management of operating costs.
  • The strong performance of the bilastine licence in other markets, which exceeded expectations, largely offset the loss of patent protection in Japan.
  • The company reaffirms its guidance for 2026 and will continue to drive its international expansion and the execution of its key industrial and innovation projects during the second half of the year.

Bilbao, 30 July 2026. – The Faes Farma Group today presented its results for the first half of the year, reporting a revenue of 391.5 million euros, up 27 per cent on the same period last year. This positive trend is mainly underpinned by growth in the international business, the strong performance of the key strategic areas and the incorporation of SIFI and Laboratorio Edol.

Consolidated EBITDA reached €90.8 million, 24 per cent higher than in the first half of 2025, with an EBITDA margin of 23.3 per cent. Excluding the organisational restructuring costs associated with the acquisitions, which were already factored in during the first quarter, it would have risen by 28 per cent. Attributable net profit rose by 9% to 57 million euros. These improvements reflect the strong performance across all business lines, underpinned by efficient cost management, enabling the Group to absorb increased activity whilst maintaining an appropriate level of operational efficiency.

Strong cash generation has enabled the Group to continue strengthening its financial position. It ended the half-year with net financial debt of 261.4 million euros and a leverage ratio of less than 2x EBITDA, in line with the company’s targets.

Growth in the main business areas

Turnover at Farma, the Group’s main business area, rose by 28 per cent year-on-year to over 340.6 million euros, driven by the integration of ophthalmology as a new strategic area and the strong performance of international markets. FARM Faes, the Animal Nutrition and Health division, recorded revenue of €46.5 million (+21%), thanks to the strategic focus on ISF and the internationalisation of the business.

Farma Iberia’s business increased its revenue to €132 million (+14%), supported by the solid performance of the Portuguese market and the strategic integration of Laboratorio Edol.

The strongest growth was recorded by the international direct-sales subsidiaries, whose revenue rose by 83% compared with the previous year, reaching €142.4 million. This growth was mainly attributable to the strong performance of the Latin American subsidiaries, the contribution of strategic products and the consolidation of SIFI, which generated €54.2 million in revenue during the half-year and is showing positive growth.

The incorporation of SIFI and Laboratorio Edol has therefore significantly strengthened the company’s position in ophthalmology, which now accounts for 16 per cent of Faes Farma’s total turnover and is establishing itself as one of the driving forces behind its international expansion.

In the licensing area, revenue exceeded €66 million (-9%) in a half-year period affected by the loss of patent protection for bilastine in Japan and the new competitive landscape there. However, this impact has been largely offset by the strong performance of the bilastine licences in other markets, exceeding the company’s initial forecasts. Furthermore, calcifediol and mesalazine performed well during the half-year, offsetting the lower contribution from certain long-standing revenue streams and contributing to the stability of the licensing business.

In the area of R&D and portfolio, Faes Farma has achieved several strategic milestones during this period, notably the approval of reimbursement for Akantior® in Italy, the European authorisation of mesalazine 1,500 mg tablets, progress in ophthalmology with the submission of several dossiers, and the agreement with the pharmaceutical company Dongkook Pharmaceutical to market a treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia in Latin America.

Outlook for the second half of the year

Following a solid first half of the year, Faes Farma reaffirms its guidance for the full financial year 2026, with an expected increase in revenue of between 17% and 19%, and EBITDA growth of between 28% and 31%.

The main growth drivers will continue to be the integration of SIFI and Edol, the growth of the international direct-sales subsidiaries and the development of commercial synergies.

Furthermore, the company will continue to make progress with the gradual transfer of production to the new plant in Derio, in line with the planned schedule, whilst maintaining its commitment to innovation and to new projects that reinforce the Group’s development and diversification.
